June Favorites

Hi everyone! Ashley here today, and Happy Friday! Sike. I know today is Thursday but it sure does feel like Friday because I don't have to work tomorrow! Thank goodness. Can you believe it is already July? I feel like June totally creeped by us. I don't know about you, but I am already ready for the fall! Summers in South Carolina can get pretty miserable with the heat, and I've already had enough! Although June came and went pretty quickly, there were a few moments, products, and happenings that stood out to me.

{This Lip Combo}
Bite Beauty Products have easily topped my list of favorite beauty products. I hadn't really tried many of them until a few months ago, and I am extremely impressed. Bite products are made without any parabens or sulfates, and are made up of food-grade ingredients that are safe to eat. I have been loving layering the two of these together. It gives the most beautiful peachy, coral, nude if that makes sense. Perfect for summer!

{These Scents}
June was all about Burberry perfumes. I often struggle with finding the perfect perfume. I love floral and fruity scents, but I also want it to be mature. Finding the right balance can be challenging, but I think I've successfully found two perfumes that I can switch back and forth to. The first one, Burberry Body, is the perfect Spring and Summer scent. Burberry Original is the everyday, all year-long scent that I've been gravitating towards to as well. I like having two perfumes that I can go back and forth with and not get tired of too easily.

{Hempz Lotion}

This should not be news to you that this is on the favorites list! Although this has been a favorite for some time now, I am especially loving it this summer. This herbal whipped body creme provides a ton of moisture without feeling too greasy. It has an amazing scent of natural hemp seed oil, apples and almonds.

{Back Porch Dinners}
As most of you know, Andrew and I are temporarily living with a coworker of mine while we build our house. The timing was right, and we couldn't ask for a better housemate! However, some of our close friends (who happen to live on the same street as us currently) are on a cruise to Russia (!) right now, so they graciously asked us if we would like to house-sit for the two weeks they are vacationing. We gladly accepted the responsibility, but have sure enjoyed the amenities it comes along with! Especially this back porch and back yard. I forgot to take a picture of dinner, but they have a Green Egg that Andrew has enjoyed using! They also have a hot tub that I can't wait to get into this weekend...unless the heat stops me!

Of course, I had to add this one but it is of the front of the house. The beautiful girls who live here are very festive in their white, red and blue...and you can't forget the famous joggling board!

{Offer Accepted}
Y'all, this is the one that topped the charts this month. Andrew and I are about to embark on a journey that we will never forget. We put an offer on this lot, and within a day...it was ours! I don't want to jinx it or start posting a lot about the house because we haven't closed on the lot yet or signed the contract with the builder, but we are getting very close! Andrew and I take nightly walks (again, across the street from where we currently live), so it's been nice to visit our future home!

{Chicago}
I've already dedicated an entire post about our recent trip, but it was definitely worth mentioning again! My first trip (Andrew's second) to the windy city will be one that we won't forget. We are thankful to have sweet friends to let us visit, and we hope to go back in the future!

{Weekend in Atlanta}
I can not tell you how much I miss these sweet friends. Andrew and I lived in Atlanta, Georgia for a few years and were fortunate to have an amazing group of friends. We still keep in touch, but two of these ladies are now doctors and with school and part of the group moving away, it's far and few that we get to spend quality time with them. Andrew and I went up on a Friday and spent the entire weekend with this group of friends. We reminisced and ate at some of our favorite pastime restaurants, celebrated Hannah and Chris (and baby Lawson), and picked out fabric and furniture for our new home. We sure do miss Atlanta, but more importantly, we miss you, sweet, sweet friends.

{The Pool}
Y'all, I.am.pale. End of story. I have been so busy with traveling and work that I haven't had a chance to get some much needed Vitamin D. After work last Saturday, I ran out the door, put on my bathing suit (that was a site in itself), and hurried off to the pool. I am hoping to spend some of my time at the pool this weekend, along with many times to come! Excuse the Insta photo, but somehow I deleted the actual picture on my camera roll. Be sure to follow me on Instagram! @ashleyceck.

I hope everyone has a Happy Fourth of July spending time with family, friends and loved ones. Safe travels to all of those traveling on this long weekend. Thank God for the stars and stripes, and God Bless America! #iamproudtobeanamerican

xoxo,
Ashley
