Highlights of my weekend!

Happy Monday Loves! I had the most crazy, fun, AND exhausting weekend ever! I tagged along with my bro and his wife to my old stomping grounds of Charlotte, NC to assit with the kids while they attended not one but two weddings on Saturday. They put me up in the Duke Mansion clad with it's crystal chandleirs, sleeping porches and black and white marble floors. If you have not had the pleasure of seeing this place in person, put it on your bucket list!

 

Thursday night, my dear friend Cassie hosted a dinner full of friends and wine to celebrate my homecoming. Cassie is just the best... she even came over on Saturday to help with Palmer and Libbie! Being in Charlotte made me miss the city and my friends so much but coming home last night to Richmond and Reid just felt right.

 

This weekend taught me two things. I have the most wonderful niece and nephew, who bring such joy and love to my life.....and....kids are a lot of work. Y'all this was the best birth control ever! I was thrilled to get some one on one time with my 5 week old niece Libbie Jane. She is all girl from her facial expressions, to her dainty long fingers, down to her perfect toes! And Palmer is just the best big brother who spent most of the weekend saying "Let me kiss it" to his baby sister. Now they def both had their good moments and their not so good ones. Being an Auntie is hard work but these two little slices of heaven, along with the beautiful weather, wonderful friends, and quality time with my sister-in-law Julia were the highlights of my weekend!

Shoutout to my bestie Kristen for celebrating her 2nd wedding anniversary and Danielle for the birth of her daughter Charlotte Pearl yesterday! I cannot.wait.to.see.this.little.girl! Congrats you two!
